Last updated: July 14, 2026
Brekfuz Private Limited ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates inbrekfuz.com and the Brekfuz knowledge intelligence platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information relating to visitors to our website and enterprise customers whose teams use the Brekfuz service. By accessing inbrekfuz.com or using the platform, you acknowledge that you have read this policy.
We are committed to responsible data handling in line with good-practice principles and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Our contact details appear at the end of this document.
1. Who We Are
Brekfuz Private Limited (Prestige Tech Park, Marathahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560103, India) operates inbrekfuz.com. The Company builds an AI-driven organizational knowledge graph that helps enterprise operations and engineering teams identify which knowledge and processes depend on a single person, so those dependencies can be documented and distributed before they create a project bottleneck. Contact us at [email protected].
2. Information We Collect
Brekfuz collects personal information in two distinct contexts: visitor activity on this website, and enterprise customers' use of the Brekfuz platform.
2.1 Website visitors
- Identity and contact data you submit through our demo booking, contact, or account registration forms (name, company, work email address).
- Communication content from messages you send to our team.
- Technical and usage data collected automatically: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on page, referring URL.
- Cookie and local storage data as described in our Cookie Policy.
2.2 Enterprise platform customers
When an organization subscribes to Brekfuz and connects their team tools (such as Slack, Confluence, Jira, GitHub, Notion, or Linear), we process the following categories of data on behalf of that organization:
- Team member names, roles, and organizational relationships submitted or inferred from connected tools.
- Activity signals used to infer knowledge ownership and task dependencies (for example, who contributed to a document, who is assigned to a task, who participates in a channel). We read these signals in read-only mode; we do not modify or post to connected tools.
- Knowledge graph outputs: structured records of role-to-process ownership, dependency scores, and risk flags generated by our platform.
- Account and billing information for subscription management.
Data processed for enterprise customers constitutes data processing on behalf of the subscribing organization. The subscribing organization is responsible for ensuring it has a lawful basis to share team member data with Brekfuz and for informing its team members that their activity data will be processed for knowledge graph purposes.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To operate the Brekfuz platform: building and maintaining the knowledge graph, running dependency risk scoring, generating onboarding paths, and surfacing risk alerts for your organization.
- To respond to inquiries and support requests: replying to demo requests, onboarding support, and customer service questions.
- To communicate product updates: notifying subscribers of new features, maintenance windows, or changes to these terms, where you have not opted out.
- To improve the Service: analyzing aggregate usage patterns to identify reliability issues and areas for product improvement. We do not use individual customer knowledge graph content to train our AI models without explicit written consent from the subscribing organization.
- To meet legal obligations: complying with applicable law, regulatory requests, and court orders.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
4. Sharing
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: cloud infrastructure providers, payment processors, and analytics tools that process data on our behalf under written contract with appropriate data protection obligations.
- Within the subscribing organization: knowledge graph outputs and dependency risk reports are accessible to the authorized administrators and users of that enterprise subscription.
- Legal requirements: we disclose information to competent authorities when required by applicable Indian law, a court order, or lawful regulatory request.
- Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
5. Retention and Security
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by law. For enterprise platform data, retention periods are governed by the customer's subscription agreement; customers on the Enterprise tier may configure a custom data retention policy. Website inquiry data is retained for up to 24 months after last contact.
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. These include data encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher, data encrypted at rest using AES-256, and cloud infrastructure hosted in the Mumbai region. Access to personal data within Brekfuz is role-based and limited to personnel who require it for their job functions.
6. Your Rights and India's DPDP Act
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act) gives you, as a Data Principal, specific rights with respect to your personal data. The rights below apply to personal data processed by Brekfuz in India, subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in the DPDP Act.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access: obtain confirmation of whether we process your personal data and receive a summary of the personal data we hold about you, together with information about the purposes for which it is processed.
- Correction and erasure: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data, or erase personal data that we no longer have a legal basis to retain.
- Grievance redressal: raise a complaint or grievance about how we handle your personal data. We will respond within a reasonable period (typically 30 days).
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Nominate: nominate another individual to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity, to the extent provided by law.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will verify your identity before processing your request. For enterprise platform data, requests relating to team member records should be directed to the subscribing organization's administrator, who controls that data on behalf of the organization.
7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies on inbrekfuz.com. See our Cookie Policy for a full description of the cookies we use, their purpose, and how you can manage them.
8. International Transfers
Our cloud infrastructure is hosted in the Mumbai region. If data is transferred outside India for processing by a service provider, we take steps to ensure that adequate data protection obligations are in place, consistent with the requirements of the DPDP Act and good-practice standards.
9. Children
The Brekfuz platform is designed for enterprise teams and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child's data has been submitted to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
